Need a housing expert's view on a rent increase in Addis Ababa
A brief consultation with a housing advisor would help Fikir understand their rights.

My landlord in Addis Ababa has given me a withheld security deposit. I've read what I can online, but the rules are confusing and different sources contradict each other.
I'm hoping that someone with experience in housing or tenant rights in Addis Ababa could spare 20-30 minutes to explain the process, the deadlines and the documents I should collect.
I have my lease, all communications and photos organized. I'm happy to share them privately. I can't pay for a lawyer, so any guidance on free services in Addis Ababa would also be appreciated.
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.
