Fighting stage 2 breast cancer: help Jide afford treatment in Epe
Supporting Jide through stage 2 breast cancer: medication, transport to Epe Regional Medical Center, and living costs while He can't work.
🇳🇬 Epe, Lagos, Nigeria161 views
Jide was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer in July. The oncology team at Epe Regional Medical Center has planned 12 rounds of treatment, starting in October. He will be away from work for about 5 weeks.
Jide is 28, worked as a bank teller until July, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Epe Regional Medical Center 4 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders.
I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes.
Where the $1,200 goes:
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $640
• Scans and lab work: $120
• Transport to Epe Regional Medical Center: $135
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $95
• Household costs while unable to work: $210
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.
