Dolores was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer in September. The oncology team at Toledo Cancer Centre has planned 4 rounds of treatment, starting in November. She will be away from work for about 5 weeks. Dolores is 41, worked as a shop owner until September, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Toledo Cancer Centre 3 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders. Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment. Where the $11,200 goes: • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $6,000 • Scans and lab work: $1,200 • Transport to Toledo Cancer Centre: $1,100 • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $870 • Household costs while unable to work: $2,030 Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly. - Liliana
