Fighting stage 2 breast cancer: help Davi afford treatment in São Paulo
Supporting Davi through stage 2 breast cancer: medication, transport to the São Paulo Oncology Institute, and living costs while He can't work.

In May I was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer. My oncology team at the São Paulo Oncology Institute has planned 8 rounds of treatment, and the first starts in August. I was told to expect about 10 weeks away from work.
I never imagined I'd be writing something like this. I'm 54, I worked as a farmer until May, and I have been the main earner for my household.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, transport to the São Paulo Oncology Institute 5 times a week, and the income I have lost add up quickly.
My family is doing everything they can, but we've already sold what we could and are borrowing for groceries.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
Where the $1,150 goes:
• Scans and lab work: $560
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $90
• Household costs while unable to work: $250
• Transport to the São Paulo Oncology Institute: $250

is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Davi.
Scans and lab work is $560 of it. Everything else is listed in the story and nothing outside that list comes out of this page. Ask me anything else.
Best of luck. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Please keep us posted. God bless
Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. Don't be hard on yourself for asking. Love from Yokohama
