Fighting prostate cancer: help Paul afford treatment in Saint-Étienne
Supporting Paul through prostate cancer: medication, transport to Saint-Étienne University Hospital, and living costs while He can't work.
Anywhere in the world342 views
In August I was diagnosed with prostate cancer. My oncology team at Saint-Étienne University Hospital has planned 10 rounds of treatment, and the first starts in November. I was told to expect about 5 weeks away from work.
I never imagined I'd be writing something like this. I'm 29, I worked as a primary school teacher until August, and I have been the main earner for my household.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, transport to Saint-Étienne University Hospital 2 times a week, and the income I have lost add up quickly.
My family is doing everything they can, but we've already sold what we could and are borrowing for groceries.
I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes.
Where the $4,150 goes:
• Transport to Saint-Étienne University Hospital: $570
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $580
• Scans and lab work: $1,350
• Household costs while unable to work: $1,650
I hope life is good to you.
- Paul
