In April I was diagnosed with prostate cancer. My oncology team at Accra Regional Medical Center has planned 10 rounds of treatment, and the first starts in July. I was told to expect about 4 weeks away from work. I never imagined I'd be writing something like this. I'm 56, I worked as a hairdresser until April, and I have been the main earner for my household. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, transport to Accra Regional Medical Center 3 times a week, and the income I have lost add up quickly. My family is doing everything they can, but we've already sold what we could and are borrowing for groceries. I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes. Where the $600 goes: • Transport to Accra Regional Medical Center: $80 • Household costs while unable to work: $300 • Scans and lab work: $220 If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people.

  • Rooting for you, Kwame. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. Put this on a community board in Dwarka this morning. Thinking of Accra.
