Fighting prostate cancer: help Hari afford treatment in Bengaluru
Hari is facing prostate cancer and the cost of treatment, travel and care at home is far beyond what the family can cover.
Anywhere in the world572 views
Hari was diagnosed with prostate cancer in March. The oncology team at Bengaluru Cancer Centre has planned 12 rounds of treatment, starting in July. He will be away from work for about 8 weeks.
Hari is 56, worked as a shop owner until March, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Bengaluru Cancer Centre 5 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders.
I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes.
Where the $850 goes:
• Household costs while unable to work: $240
• Transport to Bengaluru Cancer Centre: $160
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $450
With deep gratitude,
Aravind

Get well soon. My cousin had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. Greetings from Limoges.
