Fighting prostate cancer: help Adalynn afford treatment in Brandon
Supporting Adalynn through prostate cancer: medication, transport to Brandon Cancer Centre, and living costs while She can't work.
🇨🇦 Brandon, Manitoba, Canada199 views
Adalynn was diagnosed with prostate cancer in August. The oncology team at Brandon Cancer Centre has planned 8 rounds of treatment, starting in October. She will be away from work for about 5 weeks.
Adalynn is 57, worked as a tailor until August, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Brandon Cancer Centre 3 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
Where the $5,700 goes:
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $2,550
• Scans and lab work: $610
• Transport to Brandon Cancer Centre: $620
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $810
• Household costs while unable to work: $1,110

Stay strong. I hope things turn around soon. Love from Kaduna.
Wishing you peace, Denise. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Greetings from Epe.
So sorry you're going through this, Denise. This could happen to any of us. It's not much but it's yours. Take care.
