Abigail was diagnosed with prostate cancer in June. The oncology team at San Francisco Cancer Centre has planned 8 rounds of treatment, starting in August. She will be away from work for about 10 weeks. Abigail is 44, worked as a cleaner at a hospital until June, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to San Francisco Cancer Centre 3 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders. I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes. Where the $13,450 goes: • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $10,000 • Household costs while unable to work: $2,350 • Transport to San Francisco Cancer Centre: $550 • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $550 You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it. - Isabella

What exactly is the $13,450 for?

        • Chemotherapy and medication not covered is $10,000 of it. Everything else is listed in the story and nothing outside that list comes out of this page. It helps to be asked.
