Fighting non-Hodgkin lymphoma: help Rosa afford treatment in Memphis
Rosa is facing non-Hodgkin lymphoma and the cost of treatment, travel and care at home is far beyond what the family can cover.
🇺🇸 Memphis, Tennessee, United States325 views
Rosa was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin lymphoma in July. The oncology team at Memphis University Hospital has planned 8 rounds of treatment, starting in October. She will be away from work for about 12 weeks.
Rosa is 45, worked as a tailor until July, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Memphis University Hospital 3 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
Where the $5,500 goes:
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $4,300
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $690
• Transport to Memphis University Hospital: $510
Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure.
