Fighting non-Hodgkin lymphoma: help Mitu afford treatment in New Delhi
Supporting Mitu through non-Hodgkin lymphoma: medication, transport to New Delhi Cancer Centre, and living costs while She can't work.
🇮🇳 New Delhi, Delhi, India533 views
In May I was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin lymphoma. My oncology team at New Delhi Cancer Centre has planned 12 rounds of treatment, and the first starts in August. I was told to expect about 6 weeks away from work.
I never imagined I'd be writing something like this. I'm 25, I worked as a construction supervisor until May, and I have been the main earner for my household.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, transport to New Delhi Cancer Centre 2 times a week, and the income I have lost add up quickly.
My family is doing everything they can, but we've already sold what we could and are borrowing for groceries.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
Where the $1,500 goes:
• Household costs while unable to work: $300
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $1,100
• Scans and lab work: $100
Thank you for reading my story.
