Rafael was diagnosed with multiple myeloma in June. The oncology team at Guadalajara Regional Medical Center has planned 12 rounds of treatment, starting in August. He will be away from work for about 8 weeks.
Rafael is 28, worked as a hairdresser until June, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Guadalajara Regional Medical Center 2 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders.
