Paul was diagnosed with multiple myeloma in March. The oncology team at Berlin Regional Medical Center has planned 6 rounds of treatment, starting in May. He will be away from work for about 5 weeks. Paul is 37, worked as a primary school teacher until March, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Berlin Regional Medical Center 5 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders. Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment. Where the $1,800 goes: • Household costs while unable to work: $780 • Scans and lab work: $680 • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $340 Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly. - Katharina
