Fighting multiple myeloma: help Paresh afford treatment in Lucknow
Paresh is facing multiple myeloma and the cost of treatment, travel and care at home is far beyond what the family can cover.

In August I was diagnosed with multiple myeloma. My oncology team at Lucknow Cancer Centre has planned 10 rounds of treatment, and the first starts in November. I was told to expect about 6 weeks away from work.
I never imagined I'd be writing something like this. I'm 43, I worked as a construction supervisor until August, and I have been the main earner for my household.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, transport to Lucknow Cancer Centre 3 times a week, and the income I have lost add up quickly.
My family is doing everything they can, but we've already sold what we could and are borrowing for groceries.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
Where the $950 goes:
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $40
• Household costs while unable to work: $115
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $600
• Transport to Lucknow Cancer Centre: $195
