Fighting multiple myeloma: help Lefteris afford treatment in Athens
Lefteris is facing multiple myeloma and the cost of treatment, travel and care at home is far beyond what the family can cover.
Anywhere in the world812 views
Lefteris was diagnosed with multiple myeloma in August. The oncology team at Athens University Hospital has planned 6 rounds of treatment, starting in November. He will be away from work for about 12 weeks.
Lefteris is 24, worked as a bakery worker until August, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Athens University Hospital 5 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders.
I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes.
Where the $3,300 goes:
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $160
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $2,550
• Scans and lab work: $590
Thanks for being kind about this.

you're not alone. Hope this works out for you. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. Thinking of Athens.
