Paarl
Brandon was diagnosed with multiple myeloma in November. The oncology team at Paarl Regional Medical Center has planned 4 rounds of treatment, starting in February. He will be away from work for about 4 weeks. Brandon is 29, worked as a construction supervisor until November, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Paarl Regional Medical Center 4 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders. Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment. Where the $1,250 goes: • Transport to Paarl Regional Medical Center: $165 • Scans and lab work: $380 • Household costs while unable to work: $500 • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $205 I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen. - Marlene

  • Stay strong, Marlene. Hope this works out for you. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected
