Alexandra was diagnosed with multiple myeloma in January. The oncology team at Lansing Cancer Centre has planned 12 rounds of treatment, starting in May. She will be away from work for about 7 weeks. Alexandra is 24, worked as a primary school teacher until January, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Lansing Cancer Centre 4 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders. Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment. Where the $5,950 goes: • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $4,000 • Household costs while unable to work: $1,100 • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $850 I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to. - Jordan
