Fighting kidney cancer: help Sharon afford treatment in Newcastle

Sharon was diagnosed with kidney cancer in July. The oncology team at Newcastle Regional Medical Center has planned 4 rounds of treatment, starting in September. She will be away from work for about 7 weeks.
Sharon is 48, worked as a farmer until July, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Newcastle Regional Medical Center 4 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes.

• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $4,750
• Scans and lab work: $1,700
• Transport to Newcastle Regional Medical Center: $500
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $860
• Household costs while unable to work: $790

Everything on the list is an amount I've been quoted or invoiced. chemotherapy and medication not covered comes first ($4,750) and I'll update the page as each thing gets paid. I'll keep the page updated.
