Fighting kidney cancer: help Ruby afford treatment in Knoxville

Ruby was diagnosed with kidney cancer in August. The oncology team at Knoxville Cancer Centre has planned 10 rounds of treatment, starting in November. She will be away from work for about 10 weeks. Ruby is 44, worked as a taxi driver until August, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Knoxville Cancer Centre 5 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders. I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes. Where the $10,150 goes: • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $430 • Scans and lab work: $1,550 • Household costs while unable to work: $1,650 • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $6,520 I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.
