Leo was diagnosed with kidney cancer in April. The oncology team at Aurora Cancer Centre has planned 12 rounds of treatment, starting in June. He will be away from work for about 10 weeks. Leo is 32, worked as a tailor until April, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Aurora Cancer Centre 4 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders. I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes. Where the $8,600 goes: • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $4,900 • Scans and lab work: $1,050 • Transport to Aurora Cancer Centre: $1,200 • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $430 • Household costs while unable to work: $1,020 Thank you so much.
