Ikeja
Kehinde was diagnosed with kidney cancer in May. The oncology team at the Ikeja Oncology Institute has planned 6 rounds of treatment, starting in August. She will be away from work for about 10 weeks. Kehinde is 37, worked as a bank teller until May, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to the Ikeja Oncology Institute 2 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders. I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes. Where the $1,300 goes: • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $1,050 • Scans and lab work: $185 • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $65 I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

Updates from Michael

  1. Good news. Because of your gifts ($260 in total) I made the first payment toward scans and lab work. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely. - Michael

  2. Update from Ikeja: we've booked the dates and paid the deposit. We're at 19% of the goal. Thank you for believing in us.
