Fighting kidney cancer: help Elif afford treatment in Kadıköy
4 rounds of treatment are planned at the Kadıköy Oncology Institute; we're asking for help with the costs insurance doesn't cover.

Elif was diagnosed with kidney cancer in May. The oncology team at the Kadıköy Oncology Institute has planned 4 rounds of treatment, starting in September. She will be away from work for about 12 weeks.
Elif is 58, worked as a tailor until May, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to the Kadıköy Oncology Institute 2 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes.

• Scans and lab work: $360
• Transport to the Kadıköy Oncology Institute: $155

Sure. The biggest one is chemotherapy and medication not covered, $1,250. The rest is in the list at the bottom of the post and I'll upload receipts as I pay each one. Thanks for looking so closely.
