Fighting kidney cancer: help Dorcas afford treatment in Dodoma
Supporting Dorcas through kidney cancer: medication, transport to Dodoma Regional Medical Center, and living costs while She cannot work.
🇹🇿 Tanzania757 views
Dorcas was diagnosed with kidney cancer in January. The oncology team at Dodoma Regional Medical Center has planned 6 rounds of treatment, starting in April. She will be away from work for about 6 weeks.
Dorcas is 49, worked as a bus conductor until January, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Dodoma Regional Medical Center 4 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
Where the $250 goes:
• Scans and lab work: $70
• Household costs while unable to work: $90
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $90
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.

I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. Wish I lived closer to San Francisco so I could bring a meal. All the best.
