Fighting kidney cancer: help Aiden afford treatment in San Diego
Aiden is facing kidney cancer and the cost of treatment, travel and care at home is far beyond what the family can cover.
Anywhere in the world450 views
Aiden was diagnosed with kidney cancer in September. The oncology team at San Diego Cancer Centre has planned 4 rounds of treatment, starting in November. He will be away from work for about 12 weeks.
Aiden is 57, worked as a bakery worker until September, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to San Diego Cancer Centre 3 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders.
I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes.
Where the $8,200 goes:
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $3,650
• Scans and lab work: $1,350
• Transport to San Diego Cancer Centre: $1,150
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $660
• Household costs while unable to work: $1,390
Thank you so much.
