Fighting kidney cancer: help Adalynn afford treatment in San Jose
Adalynn is facing kidney cancer and the cost of treatment, travel and care at home is far beyond what the family can cover.

Adalynn was diagnosed with kidney cancer in August. The oncology team at San Jose Cancer Centre has planned 8 rounds of treatment, starting in October. She will be away from work for about 5 weeks.
Adalynn is 32, worked as a construction supervisor until August, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to San Jose Cancer Centre 3 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
Where the $10,400 goes:
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $6,250
• Scans and lab work: $1,650
• Transport to San Jose Cancer Centre: $660
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $610
• Household costs while unable to work: $1,230
