Tiago was diagnosed with Hodgkin lymphoma in August. The oncology team at São Paulo Cancer Centre has planned 4 rounds of treatment, starting in November. He will be away from work for about 7 weeks. Tiago is 28, worked as a farmer until August, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to São Paulo Cancer Centre 2 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders. I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes. Where the $2,500 goes: • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $1,400 • Scans and lab work: $250 • Transport to São Paulo Cancer Centre: $170 • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $230 • Household costs while unable to work: $450 Thanks for being kind about this.
