Fighting Hodgkin lymphoma: help Sofia afford treatment in Bologna
Sofia is facing Hodgkin lymphoma and the cost of treatment, travel and care at home is far beyond what the family can cover.

In October I was diagnosed with Hodgkin lymphoma. My oncology team at Bologna Cancer Centre has planned 4 rounds of treatment, and the first starts in December. I was told to expect about 8 weeks away from work.
I never imagined I'd be writing something like this. I'm 32, I worked as a construction supervisor until October, and I have been the main earner for my household.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, transport to Bologna Cancer Centre 4 times a week, and the income I have lost add up quickly.
My family is doing everything they can, but we've already sold what we could and are borrowing for groceries.
I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes.

• Household costs while unable to work: $1,250
• Transport to Bologna Cancer Centre: $390
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $270
• Scans and lab work: $1,190
