Fighting Hodgkin lymphoma: help Mary Grace afford treatment in Manila
12 rounds of treatment are planned at the Manila Oncology Institute; we're asking for help with the costs insurance doesn't cover.
🇵🇭 Manila, Metro Manila, Philippines168 views
Mary Grace was diagnosed with Hodgkin lymphoma in June. The oncology team at the Manila Oncology Institute has planned 12 rounds of treatment, starting in October. She will be away from work for about 3 weeks.
Mary Grace is 46, worked as a bank teller until June, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to the Manila Oncology Institute 3 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
Where the $1,800 goes:
• Scans and lab work: $280
• Household costs while unable to work: $440
• Transport to the Manila Oncology Institute: $80
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $1,000
