Beau was diagnosed with Hodgkin lymphoma in February. The oncology team at Bakersfield University Hospital has planned 12 rounds of treatment, starting in June. He will be away from work for about 5 weeks. Beau is 37, worked as a shop owner until February, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Bakersfield University Hospital 5 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders. Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment. Where the $3,850 goes: • Scans and lab work: $880 • Household costs while unable to work: $1,250 • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $750 • Transport to Bakersfield University Hospital: $970 Thanks for reading all this.
