Fighting early-stage lung cancer: help Roberto afford treatment in Buenos Aires
8 rounds of treatment are planned at Buenos Aires Regional Medical Center; we're asking for help with the costs insurance doesn't cover.

Roberto was diagnosed with early-stage lung cancer in April. The oncology team at Buenos Aires Regional Medical Center has planned 8 rounds of treatment, starting in June. He will be away from work for about 8 weeks.
Roberto is 51, worked as a bus conductor until April, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Buenos Aires Regional Medical Center 3 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders.
I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes.
Where the $2,950 goes:
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $1,900
• Scans and lab work: $250
• Transport to Buenos Aires Regional Medical Center: $125
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $80
• Household costs while unable to work: $595
Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure.
- Yolanda

Thanks for sharing this, Yolanda. Wishing Roberto a smooth procedure and a full recovery. My mother had a similar thing happen so this one hit home.
