Fighting early-stage lung cancer: help Oskar afford treatment in Warsaw
Supporting Oskar through early-stage lung cancer: medication, transport to Warsaw University Hospital, and living costs while He can't work.
Anywhere in the world924 views
Oskar was diagnosed with early-stage lung cancer in March. The oncology team at Warsaw University Hospital has planned 6 rounds of treatment, starting in June. He will be away from work for about 7 weeks.
Oskar is 27, worked as a primary school teacher until March, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Warsaw University Hospital 2 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
Where the $3,300 goes:
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $1,350
• Scans and lab work: $640
• Transport to Warsaw University Hospital: $470
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $105
• Household costs while unable to work: $735
You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.

Shared this with my family. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Thinking of Warsaw
Wishing you peace, Stanisław. I hope things turn around soon. Greetings from Makati
Best of luck, Stanisław. Get well soon. Take care.
Rooting for you, Stanisław. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. After 19 years in hospitality I know how hard it's to ask for anything. All the best.
Sending good thoughts. Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. I'll check back for the next update. Thinking of Warsaw.
