Fighting colon cancer: help Ximena afford treatment in Envigado
Ximena is facing colon cancer and the cost of treatment, travel and care at home is far beyond what the family can cover.
Anywhere in the world899 views
Ximena was diagnosed with colon cancer in September. The oncology team at Envigado Regional Medical Center has planned 6 rounds of treatment, starting in November. She will be away from work for about 3 weeks.
Ximena is 54, worked as a bakery worker until September, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Envigado Regional Medical Center 3 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes.
Where the $950 goes:
• Transport to Envigado Regional Medical Center: $280
• Household costs while unable to work: $550
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $120
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.

Hope this works out for you. Greetings from Magelang.
reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Sent it to 36 people at work. Take care
Gave what I could, wish it was more. Put this on a community board in Ciudad de México this morning.
Sending good thoughts, Eduardo. Shared it with a few friends
