Fighting colon cancer: help Mehwish afford treatment in Peshawar
Mehwish is facing colon cancer and the cost of treatment, travel and care at home is far beyond what the family can cover.

Mehwish was diagnosed with colon cancer in August. The oncology team at the Peshawar Oncology Institute has planned 8 rounds of treatment, starting in November. She will be away from work for about 8 weeks.
Mehwish is 29, worked as a bus conductor until August, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to the Peshawar Oncology Institute 5 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes.
Where the $1,200 goes:
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $710
• Scans and lab work: $145
• Transport to the Peshawar Oncology Institute: $80
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $55
• Household costs while unable to work: $210
Thank you so much.

Thanks for sharing this. It takes guts to ask. Well done. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. God bless
