Marilyn was diagnosed with colon cancer in December. The oncology team at the Denver Oncology Institute has planned 12 rounds of treatment, starting in February. She will be away from work for about 4 weeks. Marilyn is 31, worked as a shop owner until December, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to the Denver Oncology Institute 4 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders. I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes. Where the $9,750 goes: β€’ Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $5,500 β€’ Scans and lab work: $1,100 β€’ Transport to the Denver Oncology Institute: $1,150 β€’ Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $320 β€’ Household costs while unable to work: $1,680 Glad we found this place. - Leo

Hope the doctors have good news. After 20 years in farming I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Greetings from Bergamo.
