Fighting cervical cancer: help Themba afford treatment in George
Themba is facing cervical cancer and the cost of treatment, travel and care at home is far beyond what the family can cover.

Themba was diagnosed with cervical cancer in June. The oncology team at George Regional Medical Center has planned 12 rounds of treatment, starting in October. He will be away from work for about 8 weeks.
Themba is 24, worked as a bus conductor until June, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to George Regional Medical Center 3 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.

• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $1,050
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $145
• Household costs while unable to work: $410
• Transport to George Regional Medical Center: $95
