Fighting cervical cancer: help Pooja afford treatment in Rochester
4 rounds of treatment are planned at Rochester Cancer Centre; we're asking for help with the costs insurance doesn't cover.

Pooja was diagnosed with cervical cancer in June. The oncology team at Rochester Cancer Centre has planned 4 rounds of treatment, starting in September. She will be away from work for about 8 weeks.
Pooja is 33, worked as a nurse until June, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Rochester Cancer Centre 2 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes.
Where the $8,800 goes:
• Household costs while unable to work: $1,600
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $5,750
• Transport to Rochester Cancer Centre: $960
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $490
