Fighting cervical cancer: help Brian afford treatment in Brampton

12 rounds of treatment are planned at Brampton Regional Medical Center; we're asking for help with the costs insurance doesn't cover.

🇨🇦 Canada712 views
Brian was diagnosed with cervical cancer in August. The oncology team at Brampton Regional Medical Center has planned 12 rounds of treatment, starting in November. He will be away from work for about 6 weeks. Brian is 53, worked as a shop owner until August, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Brampton Regional Medical Center 2 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders. I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes. Where the $12,050 goes: • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $7,250 • Scans and lab work: $830 • Transport to Brampton Regional Medical Center: $1,000 • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $580 • Household costs while unable to work: $2,390 Thank you for reading my story. - Beth
