Sharon was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia in June. The oncology team at Saskatoon University Hospital has planned 12 rounds of treatment, starting in October. She will be away from work for about 12 weeks. Sharon is 57, worked as a tailor until June, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Saskatoon University Hospital 3 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders. I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes. Where the $5,450 goes: • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $4,150 • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $420 • Household costs while unable to work: $880 I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to.
