Fighting acute lymphoblastic leukemia: help Purvi afford treatment in Nagpur
8 rounds of treatment are planned at Nagpur Cancer Centre; we're asking for help with the costs insurance doesn't cover.
🇮🇳 Nagpur, Maharashtra, India171 views
Purvi was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia in May. The oncology team at Nagpur Cancer Centre has planned 8 rounds of treatment, starting in August. She will be away from work for about 7 weeks.
Purvi is 36, worked as a nurse until May, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Nagpur Cancer Centre 4 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes.
Where the $650 goes:
• Scans and lab work: $140
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $100
• Transport to Nagpur Cancer Centre: $75
• Household costs while unable to work: $335
Thanks for reading all this.
