Fighting acute lymphoblastic leukemia: help Mariko afford treatment in Nagoya

Mariko was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia in August. The oncology team at Nagoya Regional Medical Center has planned 10 rounds of treatment, starting in November. She will be away from work for about 6 weeks.
Mariko is 51, worked as a taxi driver until August, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Nagoya Regional Medical Center 2 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.

• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $3,500
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $410
• Transport to Nagoya Regional Medical Center: $540
• Scans and lab work: $1,150
