Laurent was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia in July. The oncology team at the Lyon Oncology Institute has planned 12 rounds of treatment, starting in November. He will be away from work for about 4 weeks. Laurent is 34, worked as a hairdresser until July, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to the Lyon Oncology Institute 5 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders. Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment. Where the $6,900 goes: • Household costs while unable to work: $1,900 • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $370 • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $4,630 Glad we found this place.
