Fighting acute lymphoblastic leukemia: help Doris afford treatment in Denver
Doris is facing acute lymphoblastic leukemia and the cost of treatment, travel and care at home is far beyond what the family can cover.
🇺🇸 United States848 views
Doris was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia in August. The oncology team at the Denver Oncology Institute has planned 10 rounds of treatment, starting in November. She will be away from work for about 5 weeks.
Doris is 54, worked as a shop owner until August, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to the Denver Oncology Institute 2 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes.
Where the $5,950 goes:
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $640
• Household costs while unable to work: $900
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $3,200
• Transport to the Denver Oncology Institute: $1,210
Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

Gave what I could, wish it was more. I went through something like this 6 years ago and strangers helped me out
Sending strength, Luke. I hope things turn around soon. I'll check back for the next update
keep going, Luke. Looking forward to the next update. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust. All the best.

Thinking of you and your family. Shared it with a few friends. I'm in customer support myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you.
Sending strength. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. My husband and I read this together. All the best
