Fighting acute lymphoblastic leukemia: help Bereket afford treatment in Addis Ababa
12 rounds of treatment are planned at Addis Ababa University Hospital; we're asking for help with the costs insurance doesn't cover.

Bereket was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia in November. The oncology team at Addis Ababa University Hospital has planned 12 rounds of treatment, starting in March. He will be away from work for about 5 weeks.
Bereket is 40, worked as a construction supervisor until November, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Addis Ababa University Hospital 2 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders.
I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes.
Where the $500 goes:
• Transport to Addis Ababa University Hospital: $120
• Scans and lab work: $165
• Household costs while unable to work: $215
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.
