Fighting a rare sarcoma: help Victoria afford treatment in Portland
Victoria is facing a rare sarcoma and the cost of treatment, travel and care at home is far beyond what the family can cover.

Victoria was diagnosed with a rare sarcoma in June. The oncology team at Portland Cancer Centre has planned 12 rounds of treatment, starting in August. She will be away from work for about 8 weeks.
Victoria is 29, worked as a taxi driver until June, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Portland Cancer Centre 2 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
Where the $3,800 goes:
• Scans and lab work: $980
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $550
• Transport to Portland Cancer Centre: $1,350
• Household costs while unable to work: $920
