Toàn was diagnosed with a rare sarcoma in October. The oncology team at Chattanooga University Hospital has planned 10 rounds of treatment, starting in December. He will be away from work for about 8 weeks. Toàn is 38, worked as a tailor until October, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Chattanooga University Hospital 4 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders. Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment. Where the $11,800 goes: • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $7,000 • Scans and lab work: $1,450 • Transport to Chattanooga University Hospital: $510 • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $830 • Household costs while unable to work: $2,010 Every share and every dollar helps.
