Fighting a rare sarcoma: help Sakda afford treatment in Chiang Mai
10 rounds of treatment are planned at Chiang Mai Cancer Centre; we're asking for help with the costs insurance doesn't cover.
🇹🇭 Thailand287 views
Sakda was diagnosed with a rare sarcoma in February. The oncology team at Chiang Mai Cancer Centre has planned 10 rounds of treatment, starting in June. He will be away from work for about 5 weeks.
Sakda is 50, worked as a hairdresser until February, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Chiang Mai Cancer Centre 4 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
Where the $2,150 goes:
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $960
• Scans and lab work: $450
• Transport to Chiang Mai Cancer Centre: $175
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $135
• Household costs while unable to work: $430
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.
