Fighting a rare sarcoma: help Rotimi afford treatment in Lagos
6 rounds of treatment are planned at the Lagos Oncology Institute; we're asking for help with the costs insurance doesn't cover.

Rotimi was diagnosed with a rare sarcoma in August. The oncology team at the Lagos Oncology Institute has planned 6 rounds of treatment, starting in November. He will be away from work for about 5 weeks.
Rotimi is 37, worked as a primary school teacher until August, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to the Lagos Oncology Institute 4 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
Where the $500 goes:
• Transport to the Lagos Oncology Institute: $85
• Scans and lab work: $120
• Household costs while unable to work: $210
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $85
I hope life is good to you.

you're not alone, Ngozi. It takes guts to ask. Well done. Sent it to 39 people at work. Take care.
