Nathaniel was diagnosed with a rare sarcoma in July. The oncology team at Accra Regional Medical Center has planned 10 rounds of treatment, starting in September. He will be away from work for about 7 weeks. Nathaniel is 25, worked as a taxi driver until July, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Accra Regional Medical Center 5 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders. Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment. Where the $1,000 goes: • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $570 • Scans and lab work: $250 • Transport to Accra Regional Medical Center: $145 • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $35 Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure. - Dennis

  • Thinking of you and your family, Dennis. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes

    • Hope things get better soon. I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. God bless.

      • Hope it all works out, Dennis. Hope you get there. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double.

        • Good luck, Dennis. Wishing Nathaniel a smooth procedure and a full recovery. We're a small family in Bekasi but we're thinking of you. Thinking of Accra.

          • sending good thoughts, Dennis. Looking forward to the next update. Love from São Paulo
