Fighting a rare sarcoma: help Nancy afford treatment in Ho
10 rounds of treatment are planned at Ho Cancer Centre; we're asking for help with the costs insurance doesn't cover.
🇬🇭 Ghana1,574 views
Nancy was diagnosed with a rare sarcoma in January. The oncology team at Ho Cancer Centre has planned 10 rounds of treatment, starting in May. She will be away from work for about 8 weeks.
Nancy is 47, worked as a nurse until January, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Ho Cancer Centre 2 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
Where the $1,700 goes:
• Transport to Ho Cancer Centre: $70
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $1,450
• Scans and lab work: $180
With deep gratitude,
Mabel
