Letícia was diagnosed with a rare sarcoma in June. The oncology team at the Maringá Oncology Institute has planned 10 rounds of treatment, starting in September. She will be away from work for about 12 weeks. Letícia is 36, worked as a bank teller until June, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to the Maringá Oncology Institute 2 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
